Design & the Anthropocene

Last week I participated in a conference at Calit2@UCI, Design & the Anthropocene, where my colleague Elizabeth Chin (photo below) gave a fantastic presentation on her ongoing project, the Laboratory of Speculative Ethnology, alongside a critique of design-based development projects. “From the studio,” Elizabeth said, “you’re asking the wrong questions.”
